Two families from one physical process line: xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) prebiotics for feed, food and nutraceutical use, and thermostable bio-rheology modifiers for industry. Both made in India from crop residue, replacing categories the country currently imports.

Xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) is supplied by purity and form. Below is the grade ladder we are building toward, with target specifications for each.
These are target specifications, not stock. BioVikas is pre-commercial — our pilot line is in build. The figures below are the specifications we are engineering toward, not certificates of analysis for material available today. We share real batch data, and samples, with qualified partners once pilot output is running. We would rather tell you that now than waste your evaluation cycle.
Functional prebiotics — XOS
Functional foods, beverages and supplements where cost-in-use matters more than absolute purity.
Liquid form for beverage and dairy lines that dose in solution rather than blending powder.
Nutraceutical and clinical nutrition, where low excipient load and tight DP control are required.
Bio-rheology modifiers — TBRM
Thermostable, biodegradable performance additive for high-volume industrial use. Initial focus: recycled packaging.

Target specifications for the pilot line. Acid and heat stability figures reflect the established behaviour of the XOS molecule class rather than measured output from our process.
Functional Prebiotics
High-purity oligosaccharides that act as targeted substrate for beneficial gut microbiota — effective at a fraction of the dose of legacy fibres.
Conventional prebiotic fibres often need multi-gram daily doses to show effect, which limits the formats they can be built into and can cause digestive discomfort. Oligosaccharides in this class work at far lower inclusion rates, which changes what a formulator can do with them — and changes the cost per treated tonne of feed or per serving.
Where they are used
- Animal nutrition. Poultry and aqua feed formulations seeking effective alternatives as the industry moves away from antibiotic growth promoters.
- Human nutrition. Gut-health foods, beverages and supplements, subject to the relevant regulatory clearances.
- Synbiotic formulations. Paired with probiotic cultures where a domestic, traceable prebiotic source is required.
Bio-Rheology Modifiers
Biodegradable performance materials that control viscosity and fluid loss under heat and pressure — where standard imported polymers start to break down.
Widely used synthetic thickeners lose structural performance as temperatures climb. Materials in this class retain functional performance well beyond that threshold, while being derived entirely from plant matter and remaining biodegradable at end of life.
Initial focus
Recycled packaging. Sustainable thickening and reinforcement for recycled corrugated board, replacing an imported input in a high-volume, thin-margin sector. Further high-temperature industrial applications are in development and will be disclosed as they are validated and protected.
We are building a plant, producing real product, and moving upmarket.
This is not a research exercise. The same core molecule is commercialised in stages, starting where the regulatory bar is lowest and qualification cycles are fastest, then moving to higher-purity grades as each clearance is secured.
