BioVikas
Beyond Fossil Carbon.

We manufacture prebiotic ingredients from crop waste.

BioVikas is building a physical biorefinery in India that converts agricultural residue into xylo-oligosaccharide (XOS) prebiotics and bio-rheology modifiers. Not a software platform; Not just a licensing model - a physical plant, producing tonnes of specified material for feed, food and industrial buyers.

The missing half of net zero

The world is decarbonising electrons.

Molecules were left behind.

Solar and wind are replacing fossil energy at scale. But the chemical, food and materials industries run on carbon atoms — and roughly nine in ten of those atoms still arrive from oil, coal and gas.

India generates over 500 million tonnes of agricultural residue annually. Much of it is open-burned or sold as low-value boiler fuel, while the same country imports nearly all of its high-value functional carbohydrates and high-temperature industrial polymers.

Calculate what your residue is worth

45× the gap between what a tonne of crop residue fetches as boiler fuel and the gross market value of the molecules inside it. That gap is the entire business.

The 500-million-tonne agricultural waste problem in India

Most of it is burned within weeks of harvest.

Not through carelessness — because burning is free, takes an afternoon, and fits inside the two-week window before the next crop goes in. Any alternative has to beat that on both cost and speed.

Physical infrastructure

One input. One process. Two product streams.

A modular biorefinery engineered around the reality of Indian feedstock — a physical plant producing real product, not a software platform.

Product path Context Measurement point BioOS tap
01

Feedstock in

Corn cob, bagasse and straw, accepted wet and mixed — no drying, no single-crop lock-in.

02

BioOS-governed conversion

Continuous fractionation and directed biocatalysis, answered by process parameters rather than new hardware.

03

Two streams out

A high-purity functional prebiotic and an industrial bio-rheology modifier — one for margin, one for volume.

What sets this apart

Built here. Verified end to end.

The technology is entirely our own, and every batch carries a certification-ready record of its energy footprint, water footprint and supply-chain traceability.

100%

Owned outright

Core IP held with no external licensing encumbrances.

0

Imported

No imported technology, equipment, process know-how or personnel.

3

Tracked per batch

Energy footprint, water footprint and supply-chain traceability.

Products

Two families, engineered as import substitutes.

Nutrition

Functional Prebiotics

High-purity oligosaccharides for animal and human nutrition — potent at low inclusion rates, and produced domestically against a category that India imports almost entirely.

  • Supports the shift away from antibiotic growth promoters in feed
  • Clean-label production suited to export compliance thresholds
  • Formulated for gut-health applications in food and beverage
Industrial

Bio-Rheology Modifiers

Biodegradable performance materials that hold viscosity at temperatures where standard imported petrochemical polymers begin to fail.

  • Initial focus on the recycled-packaging sector
  • Direct substitute for imported synthetic additives
  • Meets corporate ESG and embodied-carbon mandates
