Heavier board
Compensating for weak fibre bonds by increasing grammage — using more wastepaper per box, directly inflating the mill's largest and most volatile cost line.
Every time paper is recycled, its fibres lose the ability to bond — so mills either add more board or dose imported synthetic resins to pass strength tests. Our bio-rheology modifier, made from Indian crop residue, restores that lost bonding: the same strength with less fibre, and without the petrochemical chemistry.
Recycled corrugated fibre loses bonding strength with each cycle. To hit the burst and crush thresholds that e-commerce and FMCG buyers demand, mills are pushed into two expensive corners — and both eat into raw-material margin.
Compensating for weak fibre bonds by increasing grammage — using more wastepaper per box, directly inflating the mill's largest and most volatile cost line.
Dosing imported, petroleum-derived resins and cationic starch to bridge degraded fibres — an expensive daily cost, and one under rising regulatory and customer pressure on toxicity.
Our bio-rheology modifier is a plant-derived strength additive produced from agricultural residue — corn cob and bagasse. Added at the wet end, it restores the fibre-to-fibre bonding that recycling destroys.
The result is a single intervention that does two things at once: board reaches its target strength with less material, and the synthetic wet-strength chemistry can come out of the furnish altogether.
Delivered as a stabilised paste that disperses in existing stock-preparation equipment, it is engineered to sit inside a mill's current chemistry and machine settings — no capital retrofit, and no disruption to drainage or runnability. It is built to be adopted without rebuilding the line around it.
Hit the same strength target with less fibre per tonne of board — taking cost out of the mill's single largest raw-material line.
Displace imported, petroleum-derived wet-strength additives with a bio-based binder made from local residue.
Made from crop residue, not virgin wood — helping packaging buyers meet zero-deforestation and recycled-content commitments to their own customers.
Turns agricultural residue that is otherwise burned within weeks of harvest into structural value inside a recycled box.
For packaging manufacturers under ESG and BRSR reporting — and under zero-deforestation commitments made to e-commerce and FMCG customers — a bio-based strength additive is not a trade-off against margin. It is 100% bio-based, made from upcycled Indian agricultural residue, and it removes petroleum-derived wet-strength chemistry from both the process and the effluent while taking cost out of the board.
We are moving from pilot to first production. Capacity in this phase is deliberately limited, so we are working with a small number of recycled-board and corrugated packaging manufacturers on validation trials ahead of general availability.
If you run a recycled-board or corrugated operation and want stronger board at lower material cost, this is the moment to start the conversation — while there is room in the early-access programme.
All descriptions on this page are indicative and non-confidential. Trial specifications and terms are shared under discussion.
Tell us about your operation — feedstock, board grades, the strength specs you have to hit — and we will come back within two working days.
